Mango Banana Blue Spirulina Smoothie

I’ve Recently I’ve found myself wanting a smoothie bowl in the morning after a good cardio sesh’ on my Peloton. I have to admit that I’m not big on smoothies, but Anthony drinks one every morning. I want to explain a little bit about this smoothie in particular. It contains #adaptogenics and it is Vegan. Adaptogenics are buzz word for non-toxic herbs. Blue Spirulina is a blue pigment derived from blue-green algae. It is rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, and antioxidants that can help protect cells from damage. Also, it has a lot of B vitamins which enhances energy levels, boosts the immune system, increases metabolism, and improves digestion! Hence, it’s considered a superfood because of all the dense nutritional value in it.  Blue Spirulina has a neutral, slightly bitter taste. However, I find the bitterness is really undetectable when blended with fruit. Blue Spirulina is available in powder form at most health food stores. I ordered my blue spirulina from Amazon, and I use the brand #popjoy

These look so lovely! I love the idea of using pizza dough. We make TJ pizza all the time and often have like half a bag of dough left. Next time we do, I'll make these for breakfast the next day. Thanks for sharing :)
