Ingredients of Ground Chicken Chipotle Chili with Pickled Red Onions

  • Ground Chicken

One of the main ingredients is ground chicken, a lean and protein-rich meat that is a healthier alternative to ground beef. Its mild flavor allows the other ingredients to shine while providing a satisfying texture to the chili. Spicy ground chicken from Whole Foods is a personal favorite for this dish.

  • Kidney beans

Another key ingredient is kidney beans, a type of legume high in fiber and protein. They have a slightly sweet and nutty flavor that complements the smoky and spicy flavors of the chili.

  • Kidney Beans in sauce (olive oil, bell peppers, and tomatoes)

In addition to regular kidney beans, the recipe also calls for GOYA kidney beans in sauces, which are rich in flavor due to marinating in a different flavors. You can replace this with BUSH’s chili pinto beans as well, they have a more creamy texture and a slightly earthy flavor that pairs well with the other ingredients in the chili. The pinto beans are flavored with a mild chili-spiked sauce that enhances the recipe.

  • The Secret Ingredient - Chipotle Peppers in Adobe Sauce

The star of our chipotle chili recipe is - CHIPOTLE PEPPERS IN ADOBO SAUCE. These little flavor powerhouses add a smoky and rich depth of flavor to the chili that is hard to achieve with any other ingredient.

When added to the ground chicken chili, the chipotle peppers infuse the dish with a subtle heat and a complex smokiness that takes the flavor to a new level. So next time you make chili, add chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce to your ingredient list - your taste buds will thank you! I sometimes like to add in a beef bouillon cube or two. I know this is ground chicken and chicken broth, but it adds a little beef flavor and provides balance to the dish.

  • Pickled Red Onions

PICKLED RED ONIONS are also a great addition to the ground chicken chipotle chili as they add a tangy and slightly sweet contrast to the smoky and spicy flavors of the chili. Overall, this dish is a delicious and satisfying meal that will surely please any food lover looking for a warm and flavorful meal on a cold day.

These look so lovely! I love the idea of using pizza dough. We make TJ pizza all the time and often have like half a bag of dough left. Next time we do, I'll make these for breakfast the next day. Thanks for sharing :)
