Five Favorite Things

1. Things that I love and in my cart:

I feel like we are so close to Fall, and with school starting for the kids soon, I am soaking up this lovely Summer sun. Even though I feel like Texas has only two seasons most years. I am ready to sit by the fire pit with good hot chocolate or apple cider. Might I add how much I love Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier - Electrolyte Drink. It is a game changer when you live in any super hot place.  Let me add that I currently do not own a fire pit, but I am looking at purchasing a  Breeo X Series Smokeless  Fire Pit before Fall, and I have my eyes out for some nice outdoor furniture. Please comment and let me know if anyone has any ideas of where I should shop. I could find something on sale at CB2 or RH Outlet, hopefully. I have been doing a few home projects here and there, but mostly I have been trying to work on being more minimal and focusing on buying statement pieces within the house. I recently purchased a new ceiling fan for the living room, and I will share the before and after, but if you are interested, here is the one I bought from Lowe’s. I wanted to share some of the books I am reading and the podcasts I am listening to. All things fashion and home decor ideas as well.

I am focusing on finding good dinnerware; I am thinking about getting the Caraway cookware set, but I have not decided if I want to order an entire set yet. It is currently listed on sale, so that I will be purchasing it soon, I am sure.

I recently purchased more Better World Fragrance House Candles. I originally bought the Sweeter Tings Candle. It smells so good and has sweet floral undertones with a bit of Italian Citrus. So last week, I purchased Good Thoughts and Williamsburg Sleepover. These are single wick candles that are good for smaller spaces.

I have so many things currently in my cart across so many brands. As I mentioned, I am kind of in Fall mode. I recently purchased my 1-year-old some cute little Crocs green rain boots, and I decided to get some Hunter rain boots for myself, and I am so in LOVE with them. These Jeffrey Campbell Cloudy Chelsea Rain Boots are too cute and have an excellent price. I have a few boots made by him. They are my first pair, as I just got rid of my old ones. I am thinking about getting my 12-year-old the kids Hunter boots, as they are too cute. Nordstrom is running many sales, and I am shopping for back-to-school clothes for the kiddos. The older kids are so picky now, and it is getting harder to shop for them, but I recently got a few basic t-shirts and shorts from Mango. Mango is like Zara, but Mango usually has more items that are not sold out. I typically have to size down as some of the T-shirts and shorts run big (in my opinion).

I did not want to jump on the Skims trend initially as I thought people were hyping the undergarments up because Kim K. Owned the brand, but I have to say, the bras are so comfortable. I have purchased a few of them, and they are comfortable. I plan to buy the Skims underwire bra as well.   There are a few pairs of shoes I am looking at, and I love the new Steve Madden Sneakers (cannot currently find them anymore, but will post them when I do). The Maxima Sneakers are on my favorites list right now. I am ordering more gym clothes to motivate myself to be more consistent. I ordered some new shorts from Lululemon, and they are super cute. They are the Speed Up High-Rise Lined Short “4. I always keep a few pairs of their Lululemon Align™ High-Rise Pant with Pockets 28” (sold online only). Other cute leggings are the Nike Pro Therma-FIT Mid Rise Pocket Leggings. I wear these to the gym all the time with my On-Running shoes. They are waterproof as well. My husband bought me these; they feel like you are walking on clouds. We purchase a few pairs for our parents as well.  I think these Asics Gel-kayano 14 Suede Sneakers are cute; I have had them on my favorites list for a while. I currently love anything SetActive, especially this crewneck.

3. Favorite Books/Links/Podcasts/Shows I am watching:

Ok, so I am currently watching a few things on Netflix. I am trying to finish Stranger Things and Ozark, but I need to stop trying to watch an episode before bed as I keep falling asleep. I am thinking about watching Keep Breathing, I love a good thriller, and I have been laughing nonstop while watching Snowflake Mountain.

I have been listening to the following Blogger Podcasts and learning so much. The Blogging Millionaire has much information, especially regarding growing your subscriber audience. The first Food blogger podcast I started listening to almost a year ago. This is my favorite Food Blogger Podcast; so much valuable information is provided for FREE. I love several episodes of  The Unfolding: Presented by the Loveland Foundation.  The podcast focuses on conversations surrounding abundance and gratitude, which is important to me. I think it is essential to nourish your spirit; this entire podcast is about pouring into yourself.

I love to read, but when I cannot find the time, I listen to audiobooks, so I am now listening to Balance: How to Invest and Spend for Happiness, Health, and Wealth by Andrew Hallam. I just finished reading The Mountain Is You by Brianna West. I love reading about any and everything. I also love A Unquiet Mind by Kay Redfield Jamison. On my wishlist is Women Who Read Are Dangerous by Stephan Bollmann.

4. Favorite Kid Travel Gear

5. My Fav Decor Websites:

*Last year, I found so many items at different outlets. Do you’ll know Restoration Hardware has outlets?!?! I purchased a new living room table for 50% off due to a few scratches. I also purchased some things from West Elm outlets and Best Buy. If you are looking for something for your home that is a significant purchase item, I suggest always looking at the local outlets in your area to see if you can find a good deal*

Wilder House offers unique pieces, beautiful ceramics, and crafts from different artists. They provide natural body and bath goods. I love handmade jewelry.

Crate and Barrel – I love getting seasonal pieces from Crate and Barrel, especially Fall decor.

CB2 – My favorite place to order cocktail glasses and dinnerware for special occasions.

Pottery Barn – I purchase most of my bedding from here. I bought several items to decorate my teenage daughter's room. They have cute lights and acrylic planners that you can stick on the wall. Great for finding things for dorms.

West Elm – I love the modern look of anything I buy. I got my kitchen stools (from here; they are minimal. I have purchased several vases from West Elm. I bought dried Eucalyptus over six months ago, and it still smells fantastic.

Williams -Sonoma- Great home decor for a great price point. I love the Kitchen Stools I purchased from this brand. Alden Wood Counter Stool, Mango Wood, Natural Mango,

Lula and Georgia – Anything you are looking for, you will find it here.

Zara Home – I was going to purchase many items from another brand, but I found them cheaper at Zara. Both things looked precisely the same. I love getting my silverware from Zara Home.

Anthropologie Home – I love the unique pieces I get from Anthropologie. I purchased the cutest blue fruit bowl and catch-all.
