This quick and easy spicy Italian Stromboli and a family favorite that can be made in minutes. Loaded with delicious cured meats and smothered in three different kinds of cheese wrapped in crispy pizza dough.



  • 1/2 pound pre-made pizza dough (from Whole Foods)
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 4 tablespoons fresh basil pesto (refrigerated)
  • 1 tablespoon crushed Calabrian chopped chiles *optional*
  • 1/3 jar (8 ounces) of roasted red peppers, drained and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley, divided
  • 1/2 cup smoked mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese or about 3-4 slices
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
  • 3 ounces thinly sliced (uncured) pepperoni
  • 1 ounce thinly sliced deli chorizo
  • .5 ounce sliced  salami *optional
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Everything bagel spice blend
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten


  1. Preheat the oven to 400° F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll the dough into a large rectangle, around 8x12 inches, on a floured surface.
  4. Transfer the dough to a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the marinara sauce over the dough about ½-inch edge all around. Add the pesto sauce to the marinara. spread the chopped Calabrian peppers (if using) onto the sauce and lightly combine.
  5. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the sauce. Top the sauce with the drained roasted peppers. Top with mozzarella, provolone, and grated parmesan cheese.
  6. Top the cheeses with the spicy pepperoni, spicy salami, then chorizo slices. Top the meat slices with chopped baby spinach.
  7. Roll up the filled dough like a cinnamon roll, and place the roll seam side down. Press and fold over the ends to ensure the mixture stays inside. Brush the uncooked stromboli roll with the lightly beaten egg and sprinkle with parmesan and parsley.
  8. Brush the tops of the stromboli with the beaten egg, then sprinkle with Everything Bagel seeds. Take a sharp knife and cut two small slits on the top of the dough.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Let the stromboli rest for 3-5 mins, then cut in 4 sections, and serve. Enjoy
